It’s the final week of the year, and my reading for this year is officially over. I’ve had quite the year, and not just in terms of reading. As I had a lot of down time in the early year, it’s only natural that should be reflected in my reading, right?
I wasn’t so sure my reading this year would go well. I’d hit two pretty severe reading slumps throughout the year, which always happens when I’m on holidays. As I’d had a couple of holidays this year, I didn’t really expect the numbers to clock up.
When I saw this tag on 50 A Year, I just had to put my own spin on it. Anything to do with books, and I’m all in. I first took this tag back in 2015, so I thought three years later was the perfect time to update it and see how, if at all, my answers have changed. The only thing to remain is my intense love of books, and my ability to scare my friends with how much I can read.
The year is a quarter of the way through (I know, what!) so it’s time for a little check in on how my reading challenges are faring. Since I set them in January I’ve had quite a lot of downtime to get my read on, so has that made any impression on my actual reading?
I’ve only been back blogging about a month, following a pretty serious hiatus (more on that later. Maybe.) so to be nominated for a Liebster Award for blogging was a pretty big shock.
Such a proud moment
