This post is part of Six for Sunday, run by Steph from A Little but a Lot.
Winter really has set in now. I’ve had to wrap up like crazy on the way to work every morning, and even my trusty hot water bottle has made an appearance.
Now the weather has taken a tumble, it’s time to get under the blankets and have the kettle running on overtime. If there was ever a time to get cosy with your favourite characters, it is now.
Matilda – Matilda, Roald Dahl
I’d love to sit with Matilda for a while and discuss some of my favourite books with her. Matilda is also one of the world’s biggest bookworms, so she would be perfect for getting some great bookish suggestions.
Lara Jean – To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Jenny Han
Lara Jean is absolutely a feeder, so there’s simply no one better to sit in with on a cold day. LJ would make sure you always had tea, and you can bet she would have an apple pie in the oven waiting for your arrival.
Angela – the I Heart. . .series, Lindsey Kelk
Angela and I have a lot in common. We both work in the media, so I think we could swap ideas for work. Plus, if we hang out at her apartment, it means I have to go to New York. What a terrible affliction.
Ro – Paper Avalanche, Lisa Williamson
The main reason I’ve included Ro on this list is because she deserves a night away from her house. It’s a little messy there, so I’d love to have her over to my apartment for some pizza. She definitely needs to clear her head.
Mary Anne, the Babysitter’s Club series, Ann M. Martin
Mary Anne is the club member I’m most like, and I think a night for us together would be perfect. No scary movies, but plenty of reading, knitting, and our cats playing together.
Nina, Nina is Not OK, Shappi Khorsandi
I feel like Nina could use some guidance from someone who’s lived out their wild youth. She for sure needs an older figure she can count on that isn’t a family member or teacher.
