Extraordinary Book Titles

This post is part of Top 10 Tuesday run by Jana from That Artsy Reader Girl.

Titles can be one of the best things about books. If a title is particularly interesting you bet it’s going straight in my basket. No matter what the blurb says, an eye-catching title can often be the first thing to drag me into a book.

These are just some of the books I’ve noticed on shelves and been instantly drawn to purely because of the title. Or, the title has made me laugh at my phone so much, I’ve added it straight to my Goodreads shelf. True love, eh?

Regardless of how the cover looks, if you’ve got a strong title – or even just one that made me laugh – you’ve got a reader in me.

The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman

Reasons to Stay Alive by Matt Haig

The Man Who Didn’t Call by Rosie Walsh

One of Us is Lying by Karen McManus

The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton

How to be a Grown Up by Daisy Buchanan

Marshmallows for Breakfast by Dorothy Koomson

No One Ever Has Sex on a Tuesday by Tracy Bloom

Game of Scones by Samantha Tonge

What book titles have encouraged you to buy them?

  1. I like a lot of these titles. Currently listening to The Man Who Didn’t Call on Audible. I love the cover and title of the first book and the Dorothy Koomson book appeals too. A title that attracted me earlier this year was a simple one – Needlemouse – and it’s been one of my favourite reads of 2019.

  2. Haha Game of Scones! That’s so funny 😊I haven’t heard of about half of these titles before but they’re really great! I absolutely love the title for Reasons to Stay Alive by Matt Haig. Such a powerful title in itself although I still need to read it lol great list 🙂

  3. The Man Who Didn’t Call sounds familiar! LOL! I can’t wait to read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo! And anything with Bookish in its title is a must-read! Happy Tuesday!

  4. Great list! While I wasn’t a fan of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, I can appreciate the great title. And The Bookish Life of Nina Hill is on my tbr!

Here’s my TTT for this week!
