Books I Meant to Read in 2018 But Didn’t

This post is part of Top 10 Tuesday, run by Jana from That Artsy Reader Girl.

I am so bad at buying books, throwing them on my TBR, getting superbly excited about them, and then PRETENDING THEY DON’T EXIST. Repeat ad nauseum. It might be something pretty common for all book bloggers, but we’re all as bad as each other really.

I buy physical books that end up gathering dust. There are tonnes of ebooks taking up space on my Kindle that I’ve promised myself I would read immediately.

Never Greener by Ruth Jones

Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan

Letters to my Daughter by Emma Hannigan

What If It’s Us by Adam Silvera and Becky Albertalli

From Twinkle with Love by Sandhya Menon

A Thousand Perfect Notes by C.G. Drews

Cornflakes for Dinner by Aidan Comerford

Surprise Me by Sophie Kinsella

The Lost Letters of William Woolf by Helen Cullen

Colourless Tsukuru Tazaki and his Years of Pilgrimage by Haruki Murakami

Who knows, this may be the kick up the butt I need to actually get those books off my TBR shelf and finally cross them off.

What books did you skip over in 2018?

  1. I love that it’s just a general Book Blogger trait to just be sitting on a MASSIVE TBR that never ever shrinks.
I had hoped to read What If It’s Us last year too, but thankfully I didn’t buy it yet so it doesn’t COUNT!!! 🤣🤣🤣

  2. I haven’t read any of these either so I can’t highly recommend any! haha I’d really love to get around to reading some Murakami one of these days.

  3. YAY for ‘Twinkle.’ I too have that one on my shelf alongside When Dimple Met Rishi. Hopefully I’ll read both soon. Enjoy!

…at least it’s good to know we’re not alone in this books-gathering-dust problem. 🙂

Thanks so much for the Finding Wonderland visit.
