Because I had such a busy June, what with moving and packing and unpacking and starting a new job, I didn’t actually get to post my book haul for the month. So instead, I’ve combined my June and July hauls together. With a little bit of money coming my way at the end of this month, expect August’s haul to be even bigger than this.

Because I am a very unabashedly basic human, some of my favourite books are contemporary. While I do really enjoy some fantasy fiction and really love me some historical fiction, there’s no better for me than stories that involve people facing current issues.
Though it may be hard to believe, the year is more halfway through. Which means that it’s time for a look back at how this year’s reading is going. As one of my reading challenges for the year has already been ticked off, I’m going to hope it’s going well
